Latest Version:

The latest version of the software is version 2.06

Obtaining the Latest Version:

You can obtain the latest version of the software from your distributor. If your distributor cannot supply you with the latest version of any reason, please contact us and we will send you the updated version.

Computer Platforms:

The Software will work with Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP on any Windows compatible computer.

The minimum specifications for the software are:
Pentium 300 CPU
10 Megabytes of hard disk space
32 Megabytes of memory
DirectX 6.0

Please note: The screen redraws will be a little slow on computers with a CPU less than 300MHz.
The software will run under Windows 95 and Windows NT but we recommend Windows 98 or higher

Number of Patients:

The software can store up to 32000 patients with 32000 sessions each. The limitations are more dependant on the computer. An average session will consist of around 10Kb of data. Therefore 100 patients with 10 sessions each will take approximately 10 megabytes of disk drive space

Supported Products:

The software will work with The NeuroTrac™ ETS and NeuroTrac™ Simplex units.

Number of Computers:

You may install as many copies of the software on as many computers that you wish to. You may also give copies of the software to other people or businesses.
You may also make as many copies of the Installation CDROM's as you like.

The software cannot work with the NeuroTrac™ units with out the Dongle. If you want to run the software on more than one computer at a time, you must purchase additional dongle's from your distributor.

The dongle's will charged at full price as they are the key to the software

Multi user:

The software is single user only, it can be installed onto a network but only one user at a time can access the software at once. If two users attempt to access the software at the same time, it will corrupt.

Connection:

The software connects to the computer and ETS using a Fibre optic cable and a serial port dongle.

Some modern notebook computers do not have a serial port connector. You will need to purchase a USB to Serial port converter cable from you distributor.

The drivers for the USB to serial port converter cable can be found on your installation CDROM.

Lost / Damaged Parts:

CDROM: You can obtain a free CDROM from your distributor if your CDROM has been damaged or lost. Your distributor may charge you a small freight charge for lost CDROM's.

Fibre Optic Cable: If the Fibre cable is faulty you can return it to your distributor for a free replacement. If it has become damaged due to mis use or you would like another one, your distributor will charge you a small fee for a replacement cable and freight.

Dongle: If you dongle is faulty you must return it to your distributor for a free replacement. If you would like an additional dongle your distributor will charge you for the full purchase price of the software.

Connection Problems:

There are several reasons that cause your NeuroTrac™ ETS or simplex not to connect to the computer:

1) SDAT: Ensure that the SDAT option is turned on in the EMG menu.

2) Other software: You might be running other software which connects to your serial port such as palmtop computer sync software. Please disable this software while using the NeuroTrac™ unit.

3) Infrared Port: If you are using a laptop, you may need to disable the infrared port in the system properties icon in Control panel. Some computers have a conflict which causes the infrared port to interrupt the NeuroTrac™ serial connection.

4) Faulty parts: The serial port dongle, fiber cable or NeuroTrac™ unit might be faulty. Try installing the software on another computer to see if it solves the problem and contact your distributor for further information.

5) A Faulty serial port: The serial port on your computer might be faulty. Try installing the software on another computer to see if it solves the problem. You can use a USB to serial converter if you have a faulty serial port. We supply these converters if they are needed.

6) The fibre optic cable may be to thick for either the dongle or the ETS connection. If it is difficult to plug into either connection, take a very sharp knife and slim down both ends of the cable unitl it plugged easily into the Dongle or ETS.

NeuroTrac™ loses connection:

You need to disable the infrared port in the system icon in Control panel. The infrared port on some computers causes intermittent problems with the serial connection between the dongle and the NeuroTrac™.

Graph updates slowly:

If you are using an older or slow computer they graph may update slowly during the redraws. The only solution is not to change the graph scale during sessions and to be patient while the graph is redrawing.

Login crash:

If the software freezes just after you login it may because you are using a capital "U" in the username or password.

Use a username and password without a capital "U" to solve this problem. If you need further help to setup a new username, contact your distributor.

This problem has been resolved in version 2.06 issued after January 2004.

Update Problems:

Update CDROM's for version 2.06 of the software prior to January 2004 had an error in them which prevented them from updating software versions 2.04 and earlier. If you are experiencing a problem updating your software, please contact your distributor for a new update CDROM and ensure it is dated after January 2004.

Cannot Delete or rename Template:

I cannot delete or rename templates when the selected language is not English. A bug exists in Versions 2.06 dated July and earlier which prevents the user renaming or deleting a template. This bug has been corrected in Version 2.06 Dated after August 2004.
