How Does EMG Help?
EMG Biofeedback therapy techniques throughout the world are increasingly being used for neuromuscular re-education, rehabilitation and in the evaluation of various maladies by health professionals and also by patients for home training. EMG Biofeedback is currently being successfully used to treat a growing number of conditions including incontinence, patellofemoral pain, myofascitis, myofacial pain, phantom limb pain, neck and shoulder pain and repetitive strain injury among many others.
The high efficacy levels of treatment using EMG biofeedback is due to the active participation of the patient. The patient is empowered by being able to control and facilitate their own on going progress throughout the therapy process. The instant feedback shown on a display screen further encourages and motivates the patient to continue the therapy sessions. |

How does Stimulation help?
The NeuroTrac™ ETS is a dual channel device combining several treatment programmes into one unit. Neuromuscular Stimulation is increasingly understood by Therapists and Doctors. There is a better understanding of the mechanisms which exist between nerves and muscles that makes it possible to stimulate the neuromuscular system with precise electrical signals. The NeuroTrac™ ETS offers precision giving full control of Pulse Widths, Rates, Ramp up times, Work / Rest cycles as well as alternating or synchronous application if two channels are being applied. |

EMG Triggered Stimulation (ETS)
EMG Triggered Stimulation (ETS) combines EMG and Stimulation to further retrain a patients neuro pathways. It enables the patient to trigger Neuromuscular Stimulation with a preset milliamp level for the balance of an EMG work period. The patient must achieve a preset EMG threshold to trigger the stimulation phase. At the end of each work phase the unit reverts back to the EMG rest phase and stimulation cannot be re triggered until the next work phase begins. In the automatic mode the unit will continually monitor the work efforts of the patient. If the patient finds achieving the threshold to difficult, the unit will automatically reduce the threshold. Conversely, if the patient finds achieving the threshold too easy, the unit will increase the threshold level.
ETS can be particularly effective with stroke and any weakened muscle. |
